The replica of Harry Partch’s first Adapted Guitar 1 used on this recording was a collaborative project produced by James Mumford and Chris Rainier between 2013 and 2017
For more information on this particular instrument, as well as Partch's other Adapted Guitars, please go here:

www.chrisrainier.net/p/the-partch-guitar.html

No effects pedals were used on any of the tracks

Various commercial capos manufactured by Shubb and Kyser were utilised on all of the tracks, enabling physical access to harmonies and melodies usually unobtainable via the guitar's standard tuning and stringing, developed by Harry Partch between 1934 and 1942

All capo modifications by Tess E. McKenzie

The titles of the tracks on this recording are direct quotes from Jack London's book "The Cruise Of The Snark", published by The Macmillan Company, New York, 1911. These texts are present in Chapter VIII ["The House Of The Sun"], from pages 112 to 132
